***Terminologies***

—Complex System

“A complex system is a system composed of many components which may interact with each other.”

—The Semantic Granule—

A Generalized Semantic Granule (GSG) is the semantic entity, the details or the parts inside are not to be taken into account for a given semantic operation.

That is. so called GSG is an object which is regarded as a structureless one (a black box) in a special semantic operation, or, in other words, the details inside the object will not be counted for in a special semantic operation, even if it, in fact, consists of the interior parts, which may be clear, unclear or just partly clear (a grey box).

-the Physico-mathematics

The Physico-mathematics or Ph-Math was a term fabricated by the author in his book <The Theory of Biomedical Knowledge Integration>. In view of the fact that the classical or the pure mathematics can’t do more efficiently in the biomedicines because, as we know, the classical mathematics targets the hypothetical or ideal objects, such as a point without height, length, width in Euclidean geometry, and the biomedicines are the worlds full of individualities.

The inspiration of the Ph-Math came from some new techniques such as the Coherent Average and the Digital Subtraction of Angiography (DSA),), and the novel methods of the Medical Informatics to calculate approximately the areas or boundaries of the highly irregular shapes in biomedicines, which, otherwise, is quite impossibly to be realized using the traditional calculus method of the classical mathematics, etc.etc.

The biomedicines are “overwhelmed by the phenomenology laws or material wills”. In such areas we may have to “use material objects instead of formalized ones, use material relationships instead of formalized formulas”. That is the base of the Physico-mathematics and let’s see how it can make those describing data in the biomedicines into the frames of calculations.

–Mat_peptide or MP

“mature peptide or protein coding sequence; coding sequence for the mature or final peptide or protein product following
post-translational modification; the location does not include the stop codon (unlike the corresponding CDS)”

—the Semantic Pattern

Sometimes in the semantics operations, we are interested in the details inside an object, then it would be taken as a pattern rather a granule.

The definition of pattern means that the inside of a pattern is heterogeneous or uneven, containing granule(s), relation(s) or sub-pattern(s).  That is to say, that a pattern might be a combination or integration of those components.

“A complex system is a system composed of many components which may interact with each other.”
